Our CA iPad mini Cases Are in the Works

Like a lot of people, we received our iPad minis in the office today. A lot of customers have been asking when or if we are planning on releasing a case for the iPad mini. In short, yes, we are.

But, it's a tad bit more complicated than that.

Cyber Acoustics Makes a Splash in Mexico

The 22nd Annual Feria de la Computacion ran from August 2 to 5 in Mexico City, and is the largest consumer-selling show in all of Latin America, with 100,000 sq. ft. of exhibitor space and more than 200,000 attendees looking for great deals on leading technology brands. CA's Latin America Sales Manager, Lou Viveros, was kind enough to send us some great pictures.

2012 marked the first year that Cyber Acoustics participated in this great event in partnership with one of the show's biggest exhibitors, SuperMultiComputadoras.

The launch of CA-3810 and CA-3908 drew huge crowds, which we were able to handle thanks to the great efforts of Nora Perez and Neidy Martinez from SeraTec, the newest Cyber Acoustics distributor in Mexico.

Sandra Becerril and the entire Market Solutions team in Mexico went non-stop to make Cyber Acoustics' first Feria de la Computacion a SuperMultiSuccess!

Ouya Says ?Booyah? to Xbox, Playstation, and Wii

Haven’t heard about Ouya? Well, maybe that’s because it doesn’t technically exist yet. It’s a silver and black cube that’s been designed to shake up the console gaming market. How do I know this? Ouya, launched on Kickstarter a few days ago, has already raised over $4 million dollars with over 30,000 pledges—in fact, it was the fastest kickstarter project to reach $1 million. So what, exactly, is Ouya?

E3 2012 ? Did I Miss Something?

Now granted I don’t spend a lot time at E3, but I had high expectations to see what emerging mobile gaming options would be on display. I was deeply disappointed on the lack there of. How many friends do you know that are not walking around with a smartphone (otherwise known as super powered portable computer) in their pockets regularly? Basically, it’s a huge untapped market that the big boys appear to be treating as a door-to-door salesman knocking on your front door.

Every day, I visit some of my favorite sites to find out what’s new and exciting in the technology world. You know the ones: Mashable, Engadget, Mac Rumors, etc. Lately, I’ve been seeing more and more mentions of a startup company asking for funding to launch their idea. Recently, Pebble, a customizable watch for iPhone and Android, was seeking $100K in funding and received over $5 million. This may seem like an anomaly, but think about it. If you have an idea, wouldn’t it be great to be able to pitch it to the world? Who knows—you may even hit the jackpot.

Okay, I’ll admit it: back in the 90s I, along with my son, got caught up in the Pokemon craze. It was fun, and brought back memories of when I was kid, collecting baseball and football trading cards. We all know what happens to them when you grow up and move away, though—they hit the yard sale circuit. Bye bye, Mickey Mantle. I was determined that this was not going to happen again with my son, so I made a plan. You might say I went a little overboard.
