Myspace. Yes, Myspace.

Thursday, February 16, 2012 by cyberacoustics

“Really, Steve? Myspace?”

Yes, I know what you’re thinking—it’s nuts to be talking about Myspace and Justin Timberlake in the same blog. But hear me out: it may not be so crazy to be talking about this after all.

College Textbook Rentals: An Interesting Way to Save Money

Wednesday, September 21, 2011 by cyberacoustics

I know that it seem that I have been on a college kick lately, but this can really save you some bucks. We all know that college textbooks can be really expensive: up to $150 each for new hardcover versions—or even more! When you factor in having several classes, it’s not surprising that the used textbook market is booming. But did you know that the textbook rental market is also on the rise? Google+ Adds Games

Thursday, August 18, 2011 by cyberacoustics

Since Google+ launched in late June, the usage statistics have been a little underwhelming. People seem to want to talk about Google+ more than they actually want to use it. None of my friends seem to know quite what to do with it—it’s almost as if it’s just another version of Facebook.

So, what about your browsing habits?

The time of owning your own music library is coming to an end. I've used Pandora and Rhapsody for years and the time has come to make a change. I heard about Spotify over a year ago, and was disappointed to learn that it was only available in Europe. But now that’s all changed. Like the Beatles coming to America, Spotify has finally arrived.

When Fiction is “Super True”

Monday, July 18, 2011 by cyberacoustics

I read a lot, and I’m a big fan of Russian author Gary Shteyngart, so when his new book “Super Sad True Love Story” came out, I was really excited to dive in. I blew through it in about two days, loving the dystopian picture of the future he presented.
