Enhance your iPhone 4 Pictures

Some say that a picture’s worth a thousand words. I say: depends on the picture. With so many camera phones and point-and-shoot cameras out there, one only has to join a site like Flickr or even poke around on Facebook to see just how bad some pictures can be. But what if you could make your pictures stand out—just by using your iPhone, and spending less than $100?

Internet Forums: A Great Resource for First-Time Tablet Buyers

I just read an article yesterday that 3 out of 4 consumers will be looking at buying a tablet instead of a notebook or laptop this holiday season. Talk about a dramatic shift in a short period of time! For all you first-time tablet buyers, a word of warning: when you open the box, all you’re going to see is the tablet and a plug. No instructions, usually no manual, and if you’re super lucky, maybe a coupon for you next purchase! Thanks a lot.

You and I aren’t dummies, but come on, is it too much to ask to get a little help here with our tablets? Simply telling me how to turn it on and where to plug it in just doesn’t cut it. It bothers me a lot that manufacturers leave us to stumble through the learning process on our own. This is where Internet forums come into play.

Kindle Fire vs. The Nook…or Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus

Next week, two giants go head-to-head with their new tablets: the Nook Tablet on November 17th and the Kindle Fire on November 15th. Both Amazon and Barnes & Noble will put their next-generation tablets on the market, setting up a new battle for the hearts and wallets of holiday shoppers who are looking for gadgets that are good for reading books, watching videos, and browsing the Internet.

The good news is, no matter which one you choose, you won’t be breaking the bank. The Nook Tablet at $249 and the Kindle Fire at $199 is far below what you would pay for an iPad. But is there a spoiler out there that you haven’t heard of?

Apple Cards – When You Don’t Care Enough

We’ve been hearing a lot about the Post Office these days: cutting jobs, delivery on Saturdays is up in the air, and various horror stories about “what happened to my package.” Personally? I love the Post Office. I ship out hundreds of letters and packages a week, in the United States and abroad, with virtually no problems at all. But I’m not writing this to save the Post Office. Instead, I’d like to point out another thing that is bothering me.

Amazon's Kindle Fire: What's It All About?

You’ve probably heard by now about Amazon is jumping into the tablet market. Where other tablet makers have failed, Amazon hopes that they can take a bite out of Apple’s market share. With the possibility of a pre-holiday launch, lets see if the Kindle Fire has what you are looking for.

College Textbook Rentals: An Interesting Way to Save Money

I know that it seem that I have been on a college kick lately, but this can really save you some bucks. We all know that college textbooks can be really expensive: up to $150 each for new hardcover versions—or even more! When you factor in having several classes, it’s not surprising that the used textbook market is booming. But did you know that the textbook rental market is also on the rise? That’s right, rented e-textbooks.

oBaz: An Online Bazaar

We’re always looking for a discount or a way to haggle to get the best price. This works best if you’re dealing with your local merchants, of course. But what if you want the new GoPro camera? You can’t walk into Best Buy and ask for a discount, nor can try and barter on Amazon. But what if you could hook up with other people who want the same thing? This is where oBaz comes into play.

Getting to Know Spotify

The time of owning your own music library is coming to an end. I've used Pandora and Rhapsody for years and the time has come to make a change. I heard about Spotify over a year ago, and was disappointed to learn that it was only available in Europe. But now that’s all changed. Like the Beatles coming to America, Spotify has finally arrived.
