Speakers
  • Steps to determining if the speakers are working
    1. Check if the power indicator light is on. If this light is on, chances are the speakers are OK and the problem lies elsewhere.
    2. Double-check all your connections. Often times, the cables are plugged into the incorrect jack.
    3. Make sure the volume control is turned up at least 40% or more.
    4. Check the volume settings in the computer. Make sure they are turned up and the mute box is not activated.
    5. Try your speakers with another music source, such as a portable CD player or cassette player. Just plug them into the headphone jack. If they work on this, the speakers are OK and the problem lies elsewhere. In the event that the speakers do not work on this source, it is possible the speakers are defective. Please contact the retailer you purchased the speakers from, or send email to us at tech.support@cyberacoustics.com, or call us at 1-360-823-4100.
  • One speaker does not play
    1. Check the balance control on your mixer software.
    2. Check all plug connections.
  • Speakers produce weak sound and the volume control has no effect
    1. Are the speakers getting power?
    2. Again, check your connections.
    3. Some models have a feature in which they will play in the passive mode. This means they actually work with no power to them. They will play at very low level and the controls will not function. If this is the case, you are not getting power to the speaker. Check the power adapter. Check that the power button is on.
  • Power adapters
If you have had your speakers for a while and they suddenly quit working lose power, check the adapter. All Cyber Acoustics power adapters are UL, ULC or CSA approved. However, they can become defective, particularly if they receive a voltage surge. Replacement adapters are available directly from Cyber Acoustics. They can be replaced at no charge under warranty, providing they are less than one year old. Power adapters can be purchased at $9.99 plus $5.00 shipping, and may be ordered over the phone at 1-360-823-4100 with your Visa or MasterCard. You may also order by check or money order from:

  • RF (or radio) interference
  • All amplified speakers are subject to radio interference, some more than others and some only at certain frequencies. If this happens:
    1. Try placing the speakers in a different position.
    2. Shorten your cables. Bundle all cables up and secure them with ties.
    3. Radio Shack and other electronic specialty stores have products that can help solve this problem. Ferrite beads are one such product. Consult your local electronics store for advice on other products and solutions.
    4. You may consider exchanging your speakers for another model of equal or upgraded value.
  • Computer Audio Drivers
  • Our speakers do not require audio drivers to operate. They receive there signal from the sound card. If you feel your have a driver issue, you will need to contact your sound card/computer manufacture.
