What is the difference between on ear and over ear headphones and headsets?
On-ear headsets rest on your ears, while over-ear headsets fully surround them. Over-ear models generally provide better noise isolation and are often more comfortable for extended wear, while on-ear models are lighter, more portable, and allow greater awareness of your surroundings.
For some people, on-ear headsets are also the better choice because they reduce the enclosed feeling and pressure around the ears, making them more comfortable for those who are prone to headaches, motion sickness, or discomfort with over-ear designs.

Check the USB, 3.5mm, or Bluetooth connection and test another USB port or audio source. If possible connect the speakers to another device to determine whether the issue is with the speakers or the computer.
There is a slight hum coming from my speaker while no music is playing.
Lower the speaker volume and raise the computer's output volume, then check whether the hum changes. For 3.5mm speakers, test another audio source or wall outlet to help identify electrical interference or a grounding issue.
